Planning on Tying the Knot and want to have more than just a commitment ceremony? Here in New Zealand Civil Ceremonies between same-sex couples are legal.
Gay & Lesbian couples who live in other countries and who are of other nationalities are welcome to enter into a Civil Union in New Zealand.

At Lavish Events we support a same-sex couple’s choice of Tying the Knot in New Zealand so we have sourced some of the best suppliers in the Auckland region which are gay friendly. Ensuring that every couple feels relaxed and comfortable with everyone that is involved with their ceremony. These suppliers include gay friendly venues, experienced civil union celebrants and photographers that have photographed many same-sex weddings and unions.

To take the stress out of planning a Civil Union from across the ditch, we take care of all the planning for you, including booking all the suppliers, taking care of all the legalities and being there on the day to ensure all goes according to plan. All of this is done in close consultation with you, taking into account your wishes, tastes and preferences.
"We couldn't have managed to have had as a successful wedding without the team. Thank you to Nicky, you did so much in helping us make our very special day" - Alistair and Liam
For most couples who come to New Zealand to enter into a Civil Union, it is just the couple who come over for the ceremony. With this in mind we have created Platinum Packages (please see below as to what a Platinum Package can look like).
We are also able to plan and organise Civil Unions for couples who are being joined by a number of guests (whether large or small).
