The family that brought the church believe that everyone should have the right to get married and want to spread the word that everyone is welcome to rent Dignan St Church for their wedding ceremony. A place that embraces marriage equality! They can’t wait for the church to have it’s first same sex wedding ceremony.  It is also available for naming ceremonies & vow renewals too.

As the church is deconsecrated it means it no longer has religious ties, making it the perfect venue for couples who want to be married by a celebrant in a traditionally pretty venue but without the religious ceremony. You can also hold your ceremony exactly the way you want to.  If you did want a religious ceremony you are very welcome to bring your own minister or priest.

The church can fit a maximum 100 people – 78 seated (22 standing) but it is also perfect for intimate groups too.

It allows for music, lighting and floral arrangements as you desire.

Another gorgeous feature is the church bell.  Happy couples are welcome to ring it after their ceremony.

Guests and the couple dressed for the occasion in Victorian dress with music and decor to suit.  Luckily the weather held out on the winters day for Bryce and Jon’s  splendid horse and carriage ride through Newmarket.

A soprano singer and string quartet played in the ballroom with the couple starting off the dancing with a wedding waltz followed by traditional portrait photographs in the front room of the house. 

The wedding party were welcomed into the Billiard Room with a roaring open fire – all set for the dinner reception to a  string quartet playing, the evening was splendid.

Traditional cake cutting and speeches along with plenty of fine wine finished the evening off.

Lavish Events would like to thank all the suppliers who worked with the Victorian theme making this a very Lavish wedding indeed.
